Petra was my everything...She came to me to show when she was 9 months old...I finished her championship at 15 months of age in 23 shows.  I was able to purchase her when she was almost 3 years old and she became the queen of our couch.  She produced 2 litters for us by CH. Keeper's Midnite Marauder and has many children and grandchildren and even a few great grandkids too.  She has left a huge hole in our hearts which will never be filled.

I know she is romping in the sweet green fields over the Rainbow Bridge....

Summer came back to us due to her owners health issues when she was almost 2-1/2 years old.  Summer hated the show ring.  Her idea of the show ring was to lay down and roll on her back when the judge came to examine her:):)  She was extremely loving and gentle, but her knickname was "Compressor" as when she got excited, she started breathing REALLY heavy!!!

Summer presented us with an awesome litter in September of 2002, out of the very handsome, CH. Cardea's Heartbeef of America.   One of those pups is already a CHAMPION and another is on his way to his championship!!!  This was the only litter she produced.

In July of 2004, we found out that Summer had a tumor on her liver, then on November 3, 2004, Summer lost her battle with liver cancer.  We will miss this wonderful girl forever....

Mac was one of the greatest ambassadors to this breed. He loved the show ring and excelled at public education.  Although he never had any formal obedience training, he seemed to always know when to sit or down and when to calm down!  He loved greeting people in wheelchairs, especially children.  One time in the ring a judge with a cane, thumped him on the chest with the cane and said loudly, "Is he going to bite me?"   Mac just wagged his tail and I replied back to the judge, "No, but I will, if you thump him again with that cane!"  He placed Reserve that day to a major, but the thump didn't phase him!  We traveled extensively for 4-1/2 years.  Then it was time for retirement.  Through the next year Mac brooded and pouted as he was no longer going with me to the shows.  I made the decision to place him with our dear friends, Jay & Jen Chamberlain.  Just a short time after Mac went to live with them, Jay was deployed to Iraq for the first time.  Mac became Jen's constant shadow and huggybear. Mac thrived in his new home and was a constant source of enjoyment for Jay & Jen.

Mac led a fantastic life greeting over 80,000 people in public education events and was a big hit as the Bully in the 1998-1999 Honda Odyssey commercial. We were very proud of this boy, and know what a superb job Jay & Jen did with him his last 3 years!  He was never dog aggressive and loved to play with all of our puppies.  He would lay up against the puppy pen, and they would gnaw on his ears and nose through the pen, and then he'd lick them all!

The day before Thanksgiving, Mac became very ill and the vet determined it was pneumonia.  Mac was put to sleep just 3 days later.  His lungs had collapsed and even with constant therapy, he was in severe pain and distress. There were shadows on the xray which the ER vet felt were tumors. It was the hardest decision of Jay & Jen's life as Mac was not just a dog to them, he was their son.  Macaroni looked first at Jay and Jen and then at Brian and I as if he was saying goodbye to each of us personally.  He could not hug us as he always did, but we all hugged him until he was gone...He will be forever missed by all who came in contact with him.

MacGregor was bred by Tamara Cady of Reprisal Bullmastiffs.  Thanks Tami, for Mac.  I know he did you proud too:)

Beautiful Tera lived in Alaska with her owners Debbie Parrott and Jim Spaulding and her two housemates, Harley and Dusty.  She was very well loved and very spoiled.
Tera died very tragically from anti-freeze poisoning.  This was NOT something that was in her owners yard, but SOMEONE deliberately poisoned Tera to end her short life that still had so much living to do.....   Tera had 12 points toward her championship and only needed one major to finish.  Her owners had already made plans to bring Tera down to the lower 48 to finish her Championship this summer as there are no other Bully's competing in Alaska.  She was one of the best females I've ever bred. I was fortunate to have Jim & Debbie fly me up to show her August 2004, which was a great thrill for me.  I am glad I got to spend quality time with her and get to know her as an adult.Tera presented her owners with a litter in May 2005. Her puppies owners all share in this grief.  She leaves a huge hole in everyones hearts who knew her.She had such a zest for life!  Rest easy sweetheart....

My sweet, sweet girl Destiny, left us way to early... She was my couch buddy and would lay across my lap at night while I read a book and I'd use her back as my book rest.  She was the the most cuddly Bully I've ever had... She would snuggle into you and I'd love to gather her loose skin into handfuls and carress them.  Her coat was as soft as velvet... It was like wearing an old chenile sweater and gathering the folds of fabric in your hands....She will be forever missed here and by all that knew her... Desi or Miss Piggy as most people knew her by, greeted many hundreds of people in public education events.  She produced one gorgeous litter for us.  The hole she left in my heart will never heal.   Her beautiful box sits on my mantle along with our other Bullies watching over us forever.....I hope she is running and kicking up her heals with her relatives over the Rainbow Bridge.....

Dani was from our litter of Mecca & MacGregor.  Dani produced 2 litters for us.

Dani is pictured above at almost 6 years of age.  Dani was the sweetest girl and loved everyone and everything! She moved to Switzerland with her owners Jay & Jen Chamberlain about a year and a half ago.  Unfortunately earlier this year she was diagnosed with Cushings and diabetes.  She used to wrestle with Jay daily and then cuddle with him in his recliner chair in the evenings.  She loved hunting frogs in the evening in Geneva and loved playing with her daughter Tali.   Jay and Jen did everything they could for Dani and Jay became very knowledgeable about giving Dani shots for her diabetes when needed.  Dani will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.

11/6/97 - 6/22/09

It is with a very heavy heart that I announce the passing of my beloved boy, Richie.

From the moment he was born, I knew he was special.  By the time he was 6 weeks old I knew I could not let him go and had to keep him.  He would yip and toss his head like a woman with long hair and then fall over, causing anyone watching to laugh. He was such a comedienne from the start.  Even last night when we had a house full for fathers day, he was trying to impress everyone by free stacking for bait:):)

Richie traveled all across the United States to shows, sometimes with his friend Jeannie.   He was a great dog with a great temperament.  Only once did he have a sharp word and that was for his son Quincy, who postured and growled at him. He merely tweaked the end of Quincy's nose, turned around and strolled off, leaving his boy in the dirt:):) hehehe  He loved the pups and would allow them to crawl and nibble on him.  He was my couch buddy in the evening.

Everyone that had the chance to meet this special boy, knew that he was not a dog that wanted a lot of mushy mushy lovin.  He would greet you, snuggle for a second and then be off.  He had way to many things to do in life than to sit still...

Today when he laid his head upon my chest, it was his way of telling me it was time...God it was awful.  He looked at me with those big black eyes of his, and said goodbye.   As I held him and his breath expired, it was a relief for me to know that he was now at peace.

At the year 2000, National, he was misaligned by jealousy.  It was reported that he was dying of a RARE disease that no one knew what it was... Well, That was almost 9 years ago and I think he proved them wrong!!!  Richie had a slow bleed going on in his intestines, that is what took him today.....

He has been a remarkable stud dog, producing 14 American Champions to date with one Canadian Champion who was the #1 dog in Canada for 2 years!  He reproduced himself in over 70% of his get.  Not many stud dogs have EVER been able to accomplish that.

His greatest show accomplishment was when I showed him at the supported entry show for the Far West Specialty in Ventura and he won Best of Breed over an entry of 54 Bullmastiffs!!!   That was the best day we both could have had!!!  He was only specialed at a few local shows, but loved every single second of his time in the show ring.

My daughter Courtney and our friend Adrienne Hill, both used Richie as a Junior showmanship dog.  He really made them work at it.  He was NEVER a "Push Button dog", hehehehe

Richie had many knick names: Richie Rich (given to him by Linda Mattson), Ricky-D, Mondo-Wondo, Ricky Ricardo, Sugar Bear and finally old man.  He greeted everyone that came to our home with a smile on his face.  He also had greeted several thousand people when we would do meet and greets at the Meet The Breed Booths at various shows.   He LOVED the attention!

Please take a moment to hug your Bully kids today and thank God you still have them.

Thanks for letting me share some of the stories of my awesome boy.  There are 11-1/2 years of them, and I will treasure them always... There will never be another boy, like my Richie......

Finally after 7 years Richie has received his recognition at a Bronze ROM Holder.

From the moment we brought Lexy home, she lit our house up!   She was a very happy pup and that carried on into her adult life.  Her life was tragically cut short by brain cancer.  Her full brother also died of this same horrid disease just a short time before she did.  Courtney showed Lexy  and had won 5 points with her, when her topline went off and so did her bite. We were never able to finish her Championship, but Lexy was a great ambassador to our breed and greeted hundreds of people at public education events!  She LOVED meeting new people and new animals.  She especially loved the horses we had at our house for a short time.   She would run the fence line with them and had a great time.  She was my daughters dog and slept in her room.  She will be forever missed by everyone who loved her and who ever met her.

Beautiful Bella died just 10 days short of her 8th birthday.  From the time she was born she was a go-getter and finished her championship with ease.  She was the light of her owners, Rich, Courtney and Sophia Peralta's eyes.  Bella was a naughty puppy and when Courtney came to meet her for the first time, she growled and snapped at her at just 9 weeks of age!  Court looked at her and shook her finger at her and said, "I don't think you should talk to your mommy that way!" and Bella went limp and an instant bond was formed.  I had the great pleasure of showing Bella to some of her points, but her mommy Courtney really made her shine in the ring!  Bella and her family moved to Oregon a few years ago and she has been living it up as a retired girl!

About a month ago, Bella wasn't acting right so Rich took her in to the vet and she was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of Lymph Cancer.   It was just a month later that she was gone.  She will be so greatly missed by all of Court and Rich's family and us.  Bella was the 4th pup to finish from Mecca's litter, thus earing her momma her Copper ROM status.

(CH. Cardea's Heartbeef of America, OFA-Fair, EL, CA x WildWest-Jawle Mecca Lone Pine, OFA-Good, CROM)

10/18/01 - 11/5/10

Bridget was a very gentle soul.  She was a carbon copy of her mother, Mecca, from the day of her birth.  Bridget loved everything 2 legged or 4 legged.  When Bridgee was 14 months old, we had a litter born and one pup was not able to nurse on the mommy.  I was bottle feeding the pup and one night I noticed that Bridget had developed milk, and I thought, well, lets try it, and Bridget let Tinkerbelle nurse for 2 straight weeks, every two hours.  Tink grew and grew and then POOF, one day Bridget, closed the milk bar and then Tink was able to go back with her littermates and did fine.

Five years ago, I wasn't feeling well, and Bridget kept jumping up on me and clawing at my chest.  It really hurt when she kept scratching me, so I left the room, and she kept crying and pacing, and I couldn't figure out what was wrong with her!!!  Well, it wasn't her, it was me, I was having a heart attack and she was trying to tell me!  Bless her heart!!!  What a love.  She was always special, and was a total couch dog from about 8 weeks of age.
Briggly-Wiggly finished her Mexican and International Championships  very quickly and had 2 majors toward her AKC Championship when she got a pyometra and had to be spayed at an early age, so she never got to finish her AKC Championship.  She was my main public education dog for many years and thoroughly loved greeting new people and animals!

I will truly miss my dear couch buddy and I hope she is romping in the beautiful green fields over the Rainbow Bridge....  I love you baby girl...

FIVE of those kids became AKC Champions giving her her COPPER ROM and a ABA TOP PRODUCING DAM AWARD for 2008! YEAH PEPPY!!!!!  THEY ARE:

Then Mr Big, CH. Escalade's Oh So Unattainabull, finished his Championship at the Bahia Sur Kennel Club show in June 08!

Pepper had a 2nd litter in June 08 of 19, and 17 survived.   Read all about that harrowing story on our website.  During the birth of this litter Pepper died and was revived.  After the multiple blood transfusions she had, no one expected her to live past the next day.  She survived with the joy of life she always had and kept it going for another 4 years...  Bless Peppy and I know she will be watching over her kids, grandkids and great grandkids for many eons to come...  I love you sweet girl...

Today we lost Boomer.
Most dogs pass of an illness, but not Boomer. For those of you that knew him, know that this was the ONLY way he would go....

When Boomer's mom went into labor, she was pushing and pushing and then Boomer's head popped out. He was out of his sac and was dry. His tongue was sticking out of his mouth and he wasn't moving, so he must be gone. Not SO!!! I put my finger in his mouth to gently pull him the rest of the way out as Summer was in so much pain, and the darn little guy started sucking on my finger!!! I screamed and fell backwards, Summer jumped up and green stuff flew everywhere and Boomer kept sucking!!!!
That was the start of a long life of trying to keep him from killing himself!
As he grew it was very obvious that he was the ALPHA DOG at home and was going to do a LOT of PUSHING, which he did.
Shortly after we started showing him, we were at the indoor Long Beach shows and 3 Corgi's (DON'T LAUGH) attacked him and drug him to the ground. After getting them off is neck, he wouldn't move. The ring steward was calling his number so 2 handlers picked him up and carried him to the ring, set him down, I showed him the bait and he went the ring and won his first point. After that he was afraid of all little dogs. He would lay down in the ring if he saw one coming toward him whether he was stacking or gaiting.
At 4 years of age, he ate part of my palm tree. He had 8 inches removed from his intestines and had a long recovery.
At 5 years I had him debarked, because he barked NON stop!!! It didn't work.
At 6 years he grabbed a hand towel from the rack in the kitchen and somehow downed that without choking!!!! Vet said no more surgery, so I forced Olive oil down him and 2 days later , very painfully, out came the towel, WHOLE!!!
Three days ago I gave Sera a new flannel sheet for her crate. Some how he was able to get it into his crate and ripped off a section about 8 inches deep x the length of a cal king sheet, what 3-4 feet.
Yesterday he started vomiting the sheet in pieces and some passed the other end too. I checked what had happened and saw how much was missing from the sheet and just said, "OH, NO". Last night at 4am he starting vomiting clear fluid, then yellow bile, then green, then this am, brown liquid. He went downhill very fast.He was always obnoxious and now was totally sedate. After conferring with the vet, the best option was to let him go....
I gave him a long talking to and told him to be NICE to Richie since he hated him from the time he was a pup and I told him I'd see him in 50 years or so.
It's so quite here - The other dogs are very calm. I know I did the right thing & I couldn't let him suffer any longer.
Good night Mr. Boom Boom, We'll miss you forever.

AM/INTL. CH. WILD WEST'S CLOUD DANCER, OFA-GOOD, EL

3/21/03 - 9/4/12

Ruby was from our Destiny/Maximus litter and she loved the show ring!  She was a very large girl standing a full 26" tall and weighing 122# of solid muscle!

Ruby lived with her owners here in Southern California! When I would pick her up to go to shows she would completely ignore her family, she was ready to show!!! She liked going to shows with us and that made it even more fun!

Ruby won BEST OF BREED at the Del Sur Kennel Club Show March 25th, 2006 and then went on to win the Bred By Group!

Ruby produced a gorgeous litter of 6 on January 27th, 2007!

Ruby also attained her International Championship just 10 weeks after having her babies!  What a girl!!!!

Ruby finished her AKC Championship on 7/6/07 under Dr. Jose Luis Payro from Mexico.

Ruby was much loved by her mom Corrine and dad Ken and their 3 kids.  She lived a very spoiled life and  until the last year of her life she was very healthy.  She had a tumor in her jaw and that is eventually what took her down.

We will all miss our Roobie-Doobie Doo girl.

WILD WEST'S LOCKED AND LOADED

3/21/03 - 10/8/12

Gunner was also from our Destiny/Maximum litter born in 2003.   Gunner originally lived with a family, but when he was almost 2 years old, I was notified that he was being beaten by the husband and their 9 year old son.  The wife was also abused but refused to anything, so I took Gunner back home with me.  He was terrified of any man after that.  A week after I took him back I took him to a dog Whisperer.  She confirmed the abuse.  She gave me some homepathics to help him ease back into normal life, but I think he was just to damaged mentally.  He was a happy boy after we got him past the initial rehoming, but was never comfortable even around my husband or son.  Only women could get into his big heart:):)

Gunner's Prostate gland had given him trouble for some time, but he was on meds for it.  The last 3 days were awful.  He could barely go to the bathroom even though he was on increased doses of Pred and antibiotics. Last night after giving him a Tramadol for the pain, he released some of his bladder and when I got up this am, he was soaked in his own urine.. Never even woke up to let me know he had to go. I made the decision to take him in today. I gave hima  nice warm bath as his smell was so bad and he was excited to go for a car ride, he loved those:)  He was so weak he could barely get in my van. The vet said that it was time as the bladder woud have burst and he would have died a horrific death.  His gums were turning gray also from the toxins building up in his system. SO even though I know I made the right decision, it still was horrible.  Now you are at peace beautiful boy and won't ever have to worry about anything ever again.  Run free....

Wild West's Flirt'n with Fire, OFA-Good, EL

3/21/09 - 10/23/12

Where do I begin.... Today at 7:01am, my beautiful, funny, silly, kookie, animated girl, Aubrey died. At 3:30 this am she was drinking water and threw up, I got up and cleaned it up and went to take her outside and she made it to the front room and just laid down. Didn't want to get back up. Finally she did get up again, but was huffing and puffing a lot. She had grown even larger in the last 2 days. I got to the vet and waited for her to arrive and she got there at 6:55am, and when I saw her and the tech coming out to get me, I heard a weird noise and turned and saw my Aubbie Daubbie Doo in a weird position and then she exhaled her last breath. I screamed, "AUBREY" and the vet and tech were at a full run. I opened the van door and knew immediately she was gone. Only 30 seconds passed before she was resuscitated. But prognosis was not good, Ultrasound showed that there were NO heartbeats at all but that there were "too many" in there. After an hour she did not respond and the decision was made to let her go. I am crushed and devastated. After 27-1/2 years of working and building towards that beautiful show dog, it's over. Those of you who know me, know what my babies mean to me, and all the work that goes into it is my life. I don't know if I can go on....

                                                  10/5/09 - 6/17/13

Echo was the light of her owners eyes.  She was a naughty girl from the very first day they took her home:)  I always told Maria it was because she named her "Echo" and that Echoes, go on, and on, and on:):)  Echo got her CGC at an early age.  She was in nose work training and was getting ready for other competitions as well.  Her death is a tragedy... She went in for a simple non evasive ear scoping and died under sedation.  Her owners, The Murphy's are crushed that their precious girl is gone at such an early age. I bet Echo is keeping it stirred up across the Rainbow Bridge and EVERYONE will be playing forever:)  RIP Beautiful girl.

Wilma was from our Summer/Muscles litter and was just 17 months old when she finished her Championship!!!

She lived in New York with her owner. Wilma was bred to the very handsome CH. Leatherneck Ishana Shadowboxer and delivered a gorgeous litter of 10 pups!

One of those pups went on to become a multi nation champion in South America!  Not sure of her passing date as the owner never contacted me.

                                                                                                            11/9/04 - 1/1/14

Tali is another beauty from our Dani/Richie litter!  She is pictured above at 20 months of age and lives with her owners Jay & Jen Chamberlain, Ohio!

She is named for her grandpa MacGregor (CH. Keeper's Midnite Marauder) who Jay & Jen shared their lives with until he passed in November 2004.

When her owners lived in Switzerland for 3 years for their job, and they consider Bullmastiffs a dangerous breed and Tali had to take a temperament test in September 2009, to make sure she is not a 'dangerous dog'.  She is the only dog out of 30 that came to the testing that received a 100%, meaning she had the best temperament of all the dogs present.  The testers were very impressed with her!

Tali completed her International Championship in August 2006.

Tali passed away very suddenly on January 1st, 2014.  She could not breathe and it was discovered that she had Congestive heart failure.

WILD WEST'S BRAZEN HUSSY

11/9/04 - 7/25/14

Sera was a true guard dog. She did not like many people, but if she liked you you were gold:) At her very first show, Sera thought the judge was not being nice to Courtney so she nose punched her:( End of her show career:( But she was still a part of our family:) Over the last 2 months she started to drop weight. She had lost over 20#'s by today. She stopped eating a couple of weeks ago, but she would perk up when Brian made a quesadilla, so I made her one and she scarfed it down..So for over a week she ate quesadillas. She stopped eating anything yesterday and my sister got her to eat two turkey dogs and then 2 hours later she threw them up undigested..... Her body was shutting down. Thanks to Courtney and Mike for going with me and to Courtney who stayed with Sera till the end.. Thanks to my vet and staff for being there when I needed them:) Run free with your daddy, Sera...

WILD WEST'S PEPPERMINT PATTIE

12/2/10 - 4/8/15

Hattie was born with a rare esophageal defect, PRAA.  She had a rough start but was the sweetest girl ever. She overcame her eating difficulties by eating out of "The Green Dish"

Everyone loved Hattie.

Because of her defect she could not be spayed, so as her defect wasn't cruel enough she developed a pyometra and we lost her in just a few hours.

I miss you Hattie-Pattie.

AM/INTL. CH. Wild West's Ke Kopa'a 'Ula o Kia'I Po, CGC, BN, RN

                                                                                                                                              12/2/10 - 5/5/16

Kopa'a was from our litter with Brittney, CH. Wild West-N-Escalade OOPS I Did It Again x CH. Balbuena's Maximum Guardian.  She was the pick girl of the litter.  She went to live with our friend Spencer Wright & Ellen Bentley in Northern California.  She finished her AKC Championship very quickly and then on to her International Championship and then her AKC Grand Championship.  She was the first pup from us to receive her Star Puppy award and then went on to receive her CGC, and two OB titles, RN & BN!  Here is the write up from her owners: Kopa'a passed away 5/5/16 with love, following a brief but unflinching confrontation with cancer. Smart, strong, brave, affectionate, never aggressive, never fearful, her motto was, "Never back down!" She was an in-your-facemastiff, a lapmastiff, a love-me-nowmastiff, an investigatormastiff, a bullmastiff's bullmastiff. She was the one who I would most want to have my back, should an unfortunate situation ever arise.  She was our love and our star. The Pack will always speak of her with praise and affection.

Thanks to Spencer & Ellen for giving Kopa'a everything she could want.....
